Team 1058 started the FRC New England Alliance (FRCNEA) to broaden their impact to the rest of the Northeastern United States FRC team. FRCNEA is a resource for FRC members to get help and information from other local teams within minutes.

RoboExpo
In this self-hosted event, Team 1058 and guest FIRST Robotics Competition teams, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Lego League teams bring robots to the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua to show and demonstrate them for the public. They answer any questions that people may have about how robots work, FIRST opportunities, ideals, and programs as well as questions about that year’s robot challenge, or questions specific to the challenges of coming up with and executing a working robot. Londonderry FLL Qualifier
Londonderry FLL Qualifying Tournament
Planning for this event involves 250 person-hours dedicated by members of our team. Team members fill every position available for students at the event, including referees, concessions, robot inspectors, and even parking attendants. For roles requiring adults, we recruit alumni, parents, and friends of the team. The community is a huge help in orchestrating such a successful event. Local businesses provide steep discounts on items such as equipment rentals, food, and supplies. The Londonderry School District helps coordinate the facilities and covers all the costs associated with using the space. Taking cues from FRC, our team makes an effort to add high production value to the event with lighting, backdrops, and fun music. The FLL teams really enjoy this, and coaches who have been involved with FLL for years remark that our event is one of the most impressive qualifiers they attend.
Old Home Day
In their local communities, Team 1058 makes an effort to display their robot so town citizens can connect the team with news articles and TV segments featuring us and FIRST. The Pirates gain support from our town-wide Old Home Day event, where the town celebrates its history. They march in the parade with crowd favorite “Couch-Bot” and past year’s robot, and set up a booth on the commons to showcase the team and let people get hands on with the robot. Since 1058 also has students from the nearby town of Hooksett, they participate in Hooksett’s celebrations as well.
